The Color Conference
January 13–18, 2018

Printing Industries of America seeks presenters for the 2018 Color Conference (www.printing.org/color), January 13–18, 2018, in San Diego, CA.

The primary audiences for this event include:

  • Printing company professionals –These include “print-for-pay” companies using all types of printing technologies, including offset, flexo and digital printing, with a growing emphasis on inkjet printing.
  • Brand champions – These are professionals who execute creative projects or are responsible for consumer product development messaging, packaging, and marketing plus photographers.
  • Visionaries – Professionals involved with standards, specifications, new technology. These are the people who have or want to have, a finger on the pulse of what’s new.

Structure
The Color Conference program content focuses on solving color management and related issues. We run general “keynote” sessions in a main ballroom and concurrent breakout sessions on more granular topics. Most session run for one hour. We seek topics for all skill levels from beginner to expert. Please indicate the skill level of your expected audience member in your proposal.

Expectations
SOLUTIONS. The audience expects tangible takeaways that they can implement right away. We like success stories, unique solutions to challenging problems, new printing methods or color sets that require some rethinking around color management. This can be approaches, techniques, and lessons learned from your own experience, applications and research that incorporate new techniques or enhancements.

Selection Criteria
The Color Management Advisory Committee will review each application on the basis of expertise, overall quality, interest to the audience, relevance to the conference, value of contribution, and commitment to in-person presentation at the conference.

Benefit of Presenting at Color
Speakers receive publicity via publications, social media, and all conference related promotional material, continued visibility through post-conference offerings. We do not offer travel stipends but speakers do receive complimentary registration to the conference.

Deadline
We look forward to receiving your proposal. All proposals must be submitted here no later than Thursday, June 1, 2017
