Son Do co-founded Rods and Cones, Inc., in 1996. He provides technical expertise and insight on color management and its integration into a digital workflow. His years spent in the trenches of color management’s emerging technologies have given him exposure to most color management products, in most industries, including design and advertising, prepress, printing, and digital photography. He is GRACoL7 and FIRST-certified. He holds a BS in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley and worked as researcher at Genentech, Inc.

Color Management in Photoshop CC

Photoshop is still the number one application for opening, interrogating, and editing images, and was one of the first applications to bring color management to a very broad audience. Photoshop supports all of the functionality of an ICC workflow, including color conversions, color correction, soft proofing, and embedding profiles in an image. Recent Creative Cloud versions of Photoshop have added some last missing pieces, including multichannel, device link, and abstract profiles.
